This project involved the replacement of the existing sanitary sewer along Schellenger's Landing Road. The existing sanitary sewer, including manholes and building service connections were replaced with new materials (approximately 1000 linear feet of 8" PVC, 5 sanitary manholes, 3 building service laterals). In addition, the pipe trench was repaired and repaved in accordance with accepted standards.
Wissahickon Avenue Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation
This project involved the rehabilitation of a section of existing sanitary sewer. The sewer in question is approximately 1875 linear feet of 24 inch main that runs along Wissahickon and Eleventh Avenues and US State Highway Route 9. The existing sewer was rehabilitated by means of 'slip-lining'. The existing sewer pipe was cleaned and video inspected, then the piping and manholes received a resin liner which served to seal and strengthen the interior surface of the piping and manholes. By-pass pumping of sanitary sewage was necessary for this project as it is an active line.
